Is there a chicken feed without Meat Meal?

There is a chicken feed without meat meal called Barastoc Grains and Greens!

Barastoc Grains and Greens is a mix of Whole & Cracked Cereal Grains, Legumes, Vegetable Protein Meals, Sunflower Seeds, Vegetable Fats and Oils, Lucerne, Shell Grit (Fine & Coarse Calcium), Di-Calcium Phosphate, Salt, Ridley Vitamin & Mineral Premix, Essential Amino Acids & Enzymes.

Although this mix doesn't have meat meal your chickens will still lay on this mix due to the Vegetable Protein Meal and their shells will still be strong because they are still consuming the shell grit.

BUT don't forget that chickens are Omnivores and will still forage for insects worms and even the odd frog or two. So although some call Grains and Greens the "vegetarian" feed, your hens will never be completely vegetarian and that's a good thing! A happy hen is a laying hen!
