Sour Crop in Chickens
Sour Crop describes a yeast infection of the crop (found at the base of the chickens neck and forms part of the esophagus).
Symptoms of Sour Crop are as follows:
- Enlarged, hard crop
- Bad breath
- Off food and water
Can be fatal if not treated early

- Gentle massage of the crop to manually removed food.
- Veterinary treatment such as anti fungal medication and antibiotics.
